A Brief Introduction to the Performer
Hu Zhiping, professor and vice president of Wuhan Conservatory of Music, is an outstanding Erhu performer, theoretician of Chinese traditional music and composer of Chinese instrumental music. Prof. Hu is now in charge of both the Oriental Symphony Orchestra and the Oriental Chinese Music Orchestra..
Prof. Hu also acts as vice chairman of Erhu Academic Society,and vice chairman of LiuTianhua Research Association subordinate to Chinese Musicians Association.
Prof. Hu has given lots of performances and lectures at home and abroad, including lectures in Beijing,Shanghai,Nanjing and Hong Kong, performing visits to Japan, France and Singapore,,and concerts in Australia, etc.
